Foraging supplier and educator based in the Finger Lakes region of New York. Avery began foraging regularly in 2013 while working at Nordic Food Lab in Copenhagen. She explored the city's green spaces for interesting ingredients to add to ice creams, beers, and bread. From Denmark she moved to England to work for Miles Irving at Forager Ltd. In 2017 she and her husband, Edward Blain, moved to Avery's hometown of Ithaca, NY to start their own wild food supply business. They currently supply edible wild plants to restaurants, wholesalers, and farmers markets. They offer a Wild Food CSA in the Spring, Summer and Fall. They are also available for private consultations, foraging walks, and wild food cookery courses.
