Garry is a foraging guide and supplier to restaurants. He published WILDCOOK - Ceps, shrubs & rock 'n' roll in October 2015.

Over the past 35 years, my enthusiasm for the outdoor life and my passion for cooking have given me a vast knowledge of seasonal wild produce; where to find it, how to pick it and how to cook it. Today, I forage professionally for Lime Wood and The Pig hotels, providing their chefs with the freshest and most seasonal ingredients. I take guests out for foraging walks and enjoy sharing my knowledge. On returning from a morning in the forest, guests are delighted by the chefs creating dishes with their freshly gathered bounty.

Over the years I have been featured in many programmes and articles including: BBC2’s One Man and His Camper Van with Martin Dorey; ITV’s Countrywise Kitchen with Mike Robinson and The Hungry Sailors with Dick and James Strawbridge, Jeni Barnett’s Great Food Live with Colin Pressdee as well as features in the Daily Mail, The Field, Berthon Lifestlye. and Sainsburys Magazine. I have also gathered food for leading chefs including Rick Stein, Mark Hix and Angela Hartnett as well as Lime Wood’s head chef Luke Holder and The Pig’s James Golding.
